Docstools

In development

These are being built next. They are listed without links because the pages do not exist yet.

    How Docstools handles your files

Wherever an operation can be done on your own device, it is. The Image to PDF tool, for example, builds the PDF inside your browser tab, so your images are never transmitted to Docstools. Some future tools will need a server because the work cannot be done in a browser; those pages will say so plainly, and the uploaded file will be deleted once the job finishes. The privacy policy describes this per tool.

    Common questions

    Do I need an account?

No. Every tool on Docstools works without signing up, and there is nothing to install.

    Are the tools free?

Yes. Docstools is free to use and is funded by advertising. Ads are placed below the tools, never inside the upload or download controls.

    What happens to my files?

It depends on the tool, and each tool page says which applies to it. Tools that can run in your browser do so, which means the file never leaves your device. Tools that need a server say so, and delete the file once the job finishes.

Why are only some tools available?

Docstools is being built one tool at a time. A tool appears here once it actually performs its job and has been tested, rather than as an empty page.
